Journey extends invitation to Host Team practices in the Future

TEMECULA, Calif. (December 11, 2008) – Journey at Pechanga Touring Pro Corey Pavin, today was bestowed the honor of being named the 2010 USA Ryder Cup Captain by PGA of America. U.S. Open Champion Pavin, in his three-time Ryder Cup appearances was twice on winning teams.  In 2006, he was an assistant to Tom Lehman.

“Corey is an important part of our golfing family and a tremendous asset to our recently opened award-winning golf course, Journey at Pechanga,” said Director of Golf Andrew Miranda.  “We send our congratulations and are extremely proud of Corey’s well-deserved tribute. Once the team has been named, we will be extending an open invitation for Corey to host practices at Journey.”

Journey at Pechanga, although just recently opened, has received its first Award.  GOLF Magazine, in their January issue, awarded Journey the number four position on The Top 10 New Courses You Can Play.
